Meet the plucky gang of event technologists responsible for steering the good ship AttendZen.
Managing Director
Ian Dickie is AttendZen’s Managing Director, leading the company in its quest to build a platform that empowers event organisers around the world. Ian’s two decades of leadership experience include serving as Chief Executive of FISITA, the international automotive industry association - where his responsibilities included the World Automotive Congress and other global meetings with budgets in excess of £1m. He also co-founded and served as Managing Director of AKA – a commercial producer of mobility technology conferences in the UK, Europe and Japan.
Ian is passionate about harnessing digital technology to make events more efficient and engaging.
He holds a degree in Modern History from the University of Kent and a CAM Diploma from the University of the Arts London.
Technical Director
Andrew is AttendZen’s Technical Director, setting our technology strategy and helping to further scale our global platform. Prior to co-founding AttendZen, Andrew ran a successful web design and development agency for more than 20 years, with clients across the private sector and government.
He specialises in designing simple and accessible web-based solutions to complex content management and business problems. Andrew has led the development of frontend and backend event management systems for scientific associations and commercial event producers. He also co-founded the successful wedding ecommerce site, Buy-Our-Honeymoon.com.
He has a BA in Philosophy and English Language, and an MA in Philosophy, both from the University of Kent.
Design Director
Paul is AttendZen’s Design Director, responsible for ensuring that every aspect of our platform and our clients’ event experiences are both beautiful and easy to use. With over 35 years of experience in the design industry, Paul is passionate about all things visual communication and design – especially typography, application interfaces and branding for both new and established brands.
He has worked with a wide range of organisations across the arts, automotive, environment, event services, financial services, local government, technology and publishing.
He holds a BA from Ravensbourne College of Art and Design and an MA from Central School of Art and Design – and has taught Design at undergraduate and postgraduate level at a number of institutions in the UK.
